Tegan has this to say about Call It Off and love songs: When I wrote this song I felt pretty unoriginal because everybody writes love songs and everybody feels like their loves the most important and when their love ends and they get their heart broken, that nobody understands. And thats ridiculous. But so am I.
She also tells the story about how and why she wrote the song, which is apparently about her addiction to MySpace. She also shares a very humorous anecdote about German interviews and what happened to Matt Sharp from the Rentals in Germany.
