Sonic Adventure 2 - Dry Lagoon - m3 - 0:14.90

Video Info

Description: Yesterday I got word of a strange procedure I hadnt tried yet in Dry Lagoon. Upon reading more closely, it struck me as Hey, this is the same type of procedure thats used to get inside the chests in Egg Quarters, and while it was described from the Statues Pool (because it was written for GCs 2P mode, and thats the only statue present in that mode), I figured it would work from the other statues. The question is, would it yield anything useful that way? Its official: that answer is yes. While the statues in the starting area are lower down than the one with the pool, its worth noting that the secret rooms, particularly the one with the lost Chao, can be found by traveling parallel to the backs of the statues nearest start. In the first Glitches and Tricks video, you see that a diagonal route from the pool can barely hit the chao room; a direct horizontal route from the start falls just short, but theres a bit of a trick. If you break glide then immediately pick it back up, you actually gain a slight bit of height down the line! As it turns out, thats just enough to hit the closest one of the four secret rooms, and fortunately for us thats the one we want to hit. To get inside the head, just push against it, correcting your line with a swerve up or down if needed to avoid landing on the shoulder or going into ledge grab animation. Once youre fully inside (the camera will give you a better idea of this than the character position), you need to press A B A in rapid succession so as to get off the wall yet not lose so much height that you cant make the secret room theres little enough leeway as is.
