More than 1,500 residents of the city of Simi Valley Ca turned out to rally and march against the firing of hundreds of its public school teachers due to the State budget cuts. The protesters were teachers, students young and old, grandparents and their grandchildren and concerned citizens. It was a peaceful rally and hopefully helped to educate those citizens who were unaware of the harsh impact these budget cuts will have on our schools and our childrens quality of education.
