This is my second video from Operation IRENE six. This year was the sixth annual IRENE, held in rememberance of those who lost their lives in Somalia in 1993. Most of you would remember this incident from the movie Black Hawk Down. Operation IRENE is a large MilSim (military simulated) airsoft event. This year it was held at Muscatatuck Urban Training Center (MUTC), as opposed to the Zussman Trianing Facility at Fort Knox, Kentucky. MUTC is a reality based military training facility made from an old mental hospital, and to further boost realism, civilians, vehicles and explosions are used. There are two teams for IRENE VI. One of which would be the US Rangers, invading a city controlled by the feared Warlord Aideed. The other team would be the Freedom Fighters, the militia controlled by Warlord Aideed. The two teams battled it out for control of the city and the civilians living in it. At the end, the Freedom Fighters were victorious and remained in control of the city, regardless of how hard the rangers fought.
