I love these different ways of getting gems. As you probably figured out, you have to reach the end within the time limit to get one of the gems here. You have more than enough time, so thats not a problem at all.
Getting the regular gem is a bit harder if you dont want to lose any lives, which is the main goal of this quest. The hardest part is to jump on those boxes in the water on the blue gem path.
